Some stuff about me

I come from an artistic family, my father was the Art Teacher at Ellon Academy north of Aberdeen but we spent all our holidays in the North East of England where my father was born. He loved the sea and his paintings are mostly of churning seas and dark stormy skies.

I am the wrong side of forty now but I am and always will be 27.  I like tea, red wine and I love chocolate. I hate dressing up. My favourite item in my wardrobe is my denim jacket.

I have 3 wonderful sons of whom I am so proud. They and their ladies are producing grandchildren faster than I can buy piggy banks, six to date. My sons have all inherited the creative gene as has my brother's daughter Charlotte, she is a teacher of Arts and Crafts. My oldest son runs a successful design company, my middle son is an actor (resting) and earning a living elsewhere and my youngest son is a web designer and animator.

I have always wanted to paint but starting a family at 19 put any ambitions firmly on the back burner. I finally picked up a brush when my youngest son went to university and although it was a slow start, it is now my purpose in life.

I love the sea and the sky, ever changing but always there, I live in The Mumbles, what could be better. Time is one of life's most precious gifts, it only runs in one direction and I must not waste it.
